Bucharest is a city suffocated by cars. Added to this is the lack of an automatic, digital, parking system. Now, however, things are starting to change for the better.

It is hard to believe that in Bucharest there is no digital, fast parking system, where you can pay directly by phone or card. Fortunately, for those living in the capital, the AmParcat application has been launched. Available both in Oradea and in Bucharest, it offers those who use it the opportunity to find a parking space and pay directly from the phone.

Basically, the application uses your location to show you the nearest parking lots, automatically selects the hourly rate and last but not least, lets you pay and press nd one button.

Sector 4 is one of the busiest sectors of the capital. Since Monday, the parking spaces on the boulevards in this sector, all 2,500 spaces, have been charged.

According to the Local Council of Sector 4, the parking spaces were organized in two pricing categories, yellow and green, depending on the degree of congestion.

In the busier part, where there are banks, pharmacies, hospitals, offices of some public institutions, the rate is 2 lei / hour, and in the less crowded area, the green one, the rate is 1 lei / two hours. The charging interval will be from Monday to Sunday between 8 am and 6 pm, the rest being free.

All parking spaces will be marked accordingly, and the amount collected will be returned to the community. Specifically, the money raised will be used to build new parking lots in different parts of the sector.

In case of non-compliance with the parking regulations, the employees of the Urban Mobility Department will block the wheels of the vehicle and fine you.

AmParcat can be downloaded for free from Google Play or the App Store.
